1. About MedicRoute
MedicRoute provides general information and tools to help health workers plan a move to work abroad. This includes nurses, midwives, doctors, pharmacists, medical laboratory scientists, physiotherapists, and healthcare assistants and support workers. The Service includes:
- country routes and profession guides;
- licensing, exam and visa information;
- cost estimates and practice questions;
- a document tracker;
- skills and training information;
- a job board and a directory of verified recruitment agents.
MedicRoute is not a regulator or professional council, an examination body, an immigration adviser, a law firm, a recruitment agency, an employer, a bank or a payment service. We don't issue licences, visas, certificates or job offers, and we don't book exams for you.
2. Who can use the Service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. The Service is for health workers, students in health professions, and people supporting their careers. It is also for employers, recruiters and training providers acting lawfully.
3. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password private. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us straight away at medicroute.contact@gmail.com if you think your account has been misused.
- You can delete your account at any time using Delete my account in the account menu.
4. Information, not advice
Licensing rules, exam requirements, fees, exchange rates, visa rules and salaries change often and differ by country, province and state. We work to keep information accurate and show a "last updated" date, but we can't guarantee it is complete, current or right for your situation.
Nothing on MedicRoute is legal, immigration, financial or professional advice. Always confirm requirements with the official regulator, exam provider and immigration authority before you pay or apply. Practice questions are original study material, not real exam questions, and don't guarantee exam results.
Profession guides. Each guide gives a general overview of a destination country: its regulator, exams, English requirements, typical steps, visa route, rough costs and timelines. Labels such as "Open", "Competitive", "Closing soon" or "Paused" are our summary of the position when we last checked. They are not a promise that a route is available to you. Immigration and licensing routes can open, close or change at short notice. Some routes, such as certain care worker visas, may be closed to new overseas applicants. Cost figures are rough estimates, not quotes.
5. Training providers, employers and agents
Training providers (for example, providers of AHA BLS and ACLS courses), employers, recruiters and agents shown on MedicRoute are independent third parties. We list training providers we understand to be accredited, and we check recruitment agents against official registers before marking them "Verified", but:
- We don't run their courses, set their prices or employ their staff.
- Accreditation and licences can change. Confirm current status, dates and fees directly with the provider.
- Any contract, payment or arrangement you make with them is between you and them.
Legitimate employers and recruiters do not charge health workers fees for job offers. Buying a UK certificate of sponsorship or any other visa sponsorship is illegal and a common scam. If anyone asks you to pay for a job, a visa, sponsorship or "processing", don't pay, and report them to us.
Visa sponsorship offered by recruiters, including the agencies listed on MedicRoute, is for selected candidates only. A listing never means you will be offered sponsorship.
Sponsored listings. Some training providers, exam-prep companies, employers and agencies pay to appear in "Sponsored" spots. We check their accreditation or licence before accepting them. A sponsored spot is advertising, not a recommendation or guarantee by MedicRoute. Do your own checks before paying any business. Advertisers must follow these Terms, must never charge candidates for jobs, visas or sponsorship, and may be removed after a valid complaint.
6. Job posts and agency listings
If you post a job or apply to list a recruitment agency, you confirm that:
- the information is true, lawful and not misleading;
- you are authorised to recruit for the role or operate the agency, and hold any licences required;
- you will never charge candidates any fee for a job, placement or visa;
- you follow the ethical recruitment rules that apply to you, including codes on recruiting from countries on the WHO Health Workforce Support and Safeguards List.
We may review, refuse, edit, suspend or remove any post or listing at any time, including after a scam report.
7. Content you submit
You keep ownership of what you submit (such as job posts, reports and messages). You give MedicRoute a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display and use that content to operate and improve the Service. Don't submit anything you don't have the right to share, or other people's personal data without their permission.
8. Acceptable use
You must not:
- post false, fraudulent, discriminatory or illegal content, or impersonate anyone;
- use MedicRoute to scam, recruit unethically or charge health workers for jobs;
- create fake accounts or misuse invite links;
- copy, scrape, resell or republish our content or data without written permission;
- try to bypass security, access other people's accounts or data, or disrupt the Service;
- use the Service in breach of any law.
9. Intellectual property
The MedicRoute name, design, text, guides, practice questions, calculators and software belong to MedicRoute or its licensors. You may use them for your own personal, non-commercial planning. Trademarks of regulators, exam bodies, hospitals and training providers belong to their owners and are used only to identify them.
10. Fees and payments
MedicRoute is currently free for registered users. If we introduce paid plans, we'll show the price and what's included clearly before you pay. You'll never be charged unless you choose a plan yourself. Any additional payment terms, such as refunds, will be shown at the time of purchase.
MedicRoute does not hold money for users. There is currently no wallet, stored balance or deposit feature. We don't collect exam fees on your behalf. Pay exam, regulator and visa fees only on the official website of the exam body, regulator or government. If anyone claiming to be MedicRoute asks you to send money to a personal bank account, it is a scam. Please report it to medicroute.contact@gmail.com.
If we add payment features in the future, payments will be processed only by licensed payment providers. We'll update these Terms first and show the full terms before you pay.
11. Links to other websites
We link to regulators, exam providers, training providers, job boards and other websites for your convenience. We aren't responsible for their content, availability, prices or privacy practices.
12. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- we don't guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or that information is always accurate or up to date;
- we aren't liable for any loss arising from relying on information on MedicRoute, from decisions by regulators, employers, immigration authorities or training providers, or from dealings with third parties;
- we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or loss of income, opportunity or data.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Indemnity
If you post jobs or agency listings, or misuse the Service, you agree to cover MedicRoute's reasonable losses and costs caused by your breach of these Terms or of the law.
14. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or close accounts, or remove content, that break these Terms or put users at risk. You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. We'll try to resolve any concern informally first. Please email us. If that fails, disputes will be handled by the courts of Nigeria, without affecting any consumer rights you have where you live.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as the Service changes. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app. Continuing to use MedicRoute after an update means you accept the new Terms.
